Yale’s Davies and Princeton’s Davey Claim Final Field Hockey Weekly Honors

PRINCETON, N.J. – Strong performances from Yale’s Imogen Davies and Princeton’s Hannah Davey led to the final Ivy League field hockey weekly honors of the 2021 season. Davies was named the Offensive Player of the Week, while Davey earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

No. 11 Harvard downed Brown, 4-0, to finish the 2021 Ivy League Field Hockey season undefeated in League play to earn its fourth outright title and six overall title in program history. The Crimson finish the regular season 15-1 and will represent the Ivy League in the NCAA Tournament for the third time since 2016. The Crimson will open NCAA play against ACC regular season champion Louisville on November 12 at 2:30 p.m., in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Imogen Davies, Yale (Sr., M – Kilmacolm, Scotland)
Helped Yale to a fourth-place finish with a 4-3 League record
Scored both goals in a 2-1 win over Cornell
Finished career at Yale fifth on the Bulldogs’ career assists list with 27 helpers
Ranks tied for sixth in Ivy League with eight assists this season

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Hannah Davey, Princeton (Jr., D – Derbyshire, England)
Led a defense that held Columbia to six shots
Registered a goal in the win over the Lions
Helped Princeton to a second-place finish in the League with a 6-1 overall mark
