PH women’s football team beat Tonga 16-0 in a friendly match

MANILA, Philippines – The Philippines women’s soccer team scored the biggest winning streak in show history after thrashing Tonga 16-0 in Friday’s international friendly at Western Sydney Wanderers FC Football. Park in Australia.
Carleigh Frilles scored five goals to lead the other five scorers while Camille Rodriguez and Hali Long both scored hat-tricks.
Anicka Castaneda made a double. Sofia Harrison also scored a goal, first bloodshed in the 10th minute, as did Tahnai Annis, who overcame a 16-goal win in the 89th minute.
Tonga owns an own goal in the 70th minute, giving the Philippines an easy 14-0 lead.
Long and Frilles each scored twice in the first half, with Rodriguez and Castaneda leading a formidable 8-0 before halftime.
Castaneda completed her double in the second half in the 53rd minute as they took an 11-0 lead before Frilles scored a fifth goal in the 58th minute before Rodriguez scored her hat trick four minutes later to lift score to 13-0.
The Filipinas, who are prepared for their first appearance at the Fifa World Cup in 2023, are training for the upcoming match. 31st Southeast Asian Games in May in Hanoi, Vietnam.
