Paddy Kenny: Do not buy rookies, maybe Arsenal will have to pay the price

 Former player Paddy Kenny expressed concern about a relatively disappointing transfer window for the Gunners.

Arsenal entered the winter transfer window with a series of notable rumors, with coach Mikel Arteta said to have a plan to strengthen the midfield and attack. But in the end, there weren’t any rookies arriving at Emirates. 

In the opinion of Paddy Kenny, the Gunners may have to pay the price for not upgrading their forces in the last transfer window, in the context of the pandemic still there and suspensions are always a big problem under Arteta’s time.

Talking to Football Insider, the former Leeds United player shared:

 Arteta did not welcome any new recruits. 

“This is the Premier League, it’s tough. You’re going to have to struggle with injuries and suspensions. We all know that’s Arteta’s problem. Although they’ve done well so far, Arsenal could face problems. difficult in the second half of the season.”

“COVID is still raging, so just a few more injuries and they won’t be able to assemble a team again.”

“Arsenal seem to have turned the tables after a poor start, and all that good may be erased.”

“Arsenal is also not really linked with anyone, it doesn’t look like they will recruit any rookies. That’s a big worry for me.”
