Former player Perry Groves is completely dissatisfied with the way Manchester United played in the draw.
Last night, Manchester United had a less convincing performance against a weak team, Newcastle United. In the opinion of Perry Groves, the Red Devils are similar to the time of coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, they lack a certain structure in the squad.

Talking via talkSPORT, the Arsenal legend shared:

“The tactical formation was supposed to be 4-2-2-2, but sometimes it became 4-2-4, most of the time when they were in control it was 2-4-4.”

“I couldn’t see how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wanted Man Utd to play, I couldn’t see their structure. And there was no structure to Manchester United against Newcastle either.”

“The problem is not the lack of effort, but the lack of cohesion, the lack of structure. They want to play pressing, but it looks like the worst Leeds games.”

“If that’s the performance under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, he’s doomed.”

“Harry Maguire wouldn’t like to play that way. He’s going to be in a one-on-one position and if I’m going to play Man Utd, I’ll put two strikers in front. You only need one pass to get past their midfield, as there is no protection at all. The two full-backs are always high.”

“They’re a mess tonight.”
