MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Azkals team did not qualify for next year’s AFC Asian Cup.
The Philippine Azkals were in second place in Group B but failed to get through with just four points from three games.
The Losing 4-0 to Palestine on Tuesday proved to have sealed the Azkals’ fate as it dragged on their bid for a second straight run of continents.
Palestine tops Group B with a 3-0 record to secure a spot in the Asian Cup.
Jordan, Uzbekistan, India, Bahrain and Tajikistan top their table.
The second-placed teams of Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Hong Kong also won tickets to the Asian Cup.
